Some provide a complete service, even including a guide, others offer a menu of options aimed at the self-guided walker or cyclist. Many operators are enthusiasts with years of experience of their routes. Because of their relationships with B&B hosts and taxi firms, they can often solve logistic problems that otherwise may seem daunting.
